I have only played this map once, but I won my game and now have a championship point because of it. I think this map rocks because of that. But seriously, his map was pretty good. The wrap around aspect in particular was executed very well.
I should really love this board, with its large amount of territories and fortress style spots, but for some reason it isn't quite in that top level for me. Good Board, sure, but not great. I can't even really explain why. Maybe I am just not very good at it.
When I first started playing this board, I didn't really get it. Now that I have a few games under my belt, it has a surprising level of depth, and calls for a new set of strategies. It is great for 3 player games.
The shared territories make for a great board dynamic. I have to admit that when I first saw Belgariad, I was expecting something different though. I am sold though, this map is great in its own right. I would still like to see a Belgariad with the real nations as continents.
